Adult Basic Education Program (ABE/GED)
A GED opens doors. Stateline Literacy Council is the only agency in our region to offer an ABE/GED program in Spanish, meeting the needs of a diverse community. Students build skills in reading, writing, math, social studies, and computers, preparing to pass the GED exam and unlock new opportunities for employment, promotion, and college enrollment. For many students, this credential is the first step toward the life they have been working toward.
English Language Learner Program (ELL)
Language should never be a barrier to belonging. Stateline Literacy Council's English Language Learner program helps adults in our community develop and strengthen their English skills so they can find better employment, achieve greater self-sufficiency, participate more fully in their children's education, and, for some, pursue U.S. citizenship. The program meets students where they are and supports them as they build toward where they want to go.
