A Healthy Community Is a Strong Community.
INTRO
Health is more than the absence of illness. It is the presence of access - to care, to mental health support, to safe housing, to nutritious food, and to the people who can help when life becomes overwhelming.
United Way Blackhawk Region invests in programs and partnerships that expand access to health resources across our two-county region. We focus on the whole person and the whole community, because when one of us struggles, all of us feel it.
WHAT WE FUND
Through our Community Impact investment process, United Way Blackhawk Region funds local programs that address health needs at every stage of life. Our funded partners work on the front lines — delivering meals to homebound seniors, providing free dental and medical care to people without insurance, sheltering survivors of domestic violence, and ensuring that people living with HIV/AIDS have access to the full spectrum of care they need.
