There are two ways to start a campaign with United Way Blackhawk Region: rally your workplace around giving, or launch your own personal fundraiser for a cause you care about. Either way, 100% of your effort goes toward strengthening our community right here in the Blackhawk Region.

Start a Workplace Campaign

Running a giving campaign at your company is one of the most effective ways to make a big impact. We provide the tools, materials, and support — you provide the enthusiasm.

Why run a workplace campaign:

•    Engage employees around a shared purpose
•    Boost morale and team culture through giving and volunteering
•    Multiply individual gifts through employer matching
•    Strengthen your company’s ties to the local community

How it works:

1.    Connect with a campaign coordinator. We’ll assign you a United Way staff member to guide you from kickoff to wrap-up.
2.    Set your dates and goals. Most campaigns run 2–4 weeks; we’ll help you set a realistic fundraising target.
3.    Get your toolkit. We provide pledge forms, flyers, email templates, and a short kickoff presentation for your team.
4.    Promote and collect pledges. Payroll deduction, one-time gifts, and employer matches are all options.
5.    Celebrate your impact. We’ll share results and the difference your workplace made.

Start a Personal Fundraiser

Want to fundraise on your own — for a birthday, a memorial, an event, or just because? Set up a personal giving page in minutes and share it with friends and family.

How it works:

1.    Create your personal fundraising page and set a goal.
2.    Share your story and your link on social media, email, or text.
3.    Track your progress as gifts come in.
4.    Watch your impact go directly to programs across the Blackhawk Region.
